The study
Objective
Understand manufacturing practices, AI adoption levels, and digital transformation across LATAM’s packaging ecosystem, to inform investment and sustainable development decisions in 2026.
FactorIA Sostenible gathers evidence from manufacturers and actors across the packaging value chain on digital maturity, AI use cases, barriers, and opportunities. Findings will help IDB Invest guide technical and financial support toward more competitive, intelligent, and sustainable manufacturing in the region.
How participation works
The process
The study unfolds in two sequential stages. Both are limited to invited participants.
Survey
First stage of the process. Collects structured information on manufacturing practices, AI adoption, process digitalization, and challenges in the packaging ecosystem.
Invitation onlyInterview
Second stage of the process. Deepens selected experiences of digital transformation and AI use emerging from the survey through guided qualitative conversations.
